Syria, What to Do Now (Call Congress Now, Write to Your PM etc)

I wrote to the Prime Minister of Australia:

Syrian Chemical Weapons False Flags and the illegal attack by the Trump Administration

Dear Malcolm,  

The people are not fools despite the media continuing to push the idea that 'Assad is using chemical weapons on his own people'. My social media networks are FILLED with people who are against Trump's bombing of Syria. No one is saying anything about how the US attack was justified in response to the recent chemical weapons incident. Most people think the CW attack was a false flag. Trump's attack on the Syrian Government is illegal. Australia being party to such operations would make those in command positions complicit.   

You need to stop playing strategic games on this issue before the whole Internet-informed world turns against you. Each outrage and injustice turns more and more people away from mainstream media and the big political parties. 

If your intelligence bosses are telling you that Assad is, and was, responsible for the CW attacks during the course of the war they should be fired. They know what is going on here. They know that the rebel groups are sectarian in nature and that the Assad forces are the moderates in the conflict. They know that the war has been sponsored by outside countries, such as outlined in an Aug 2012 DIA document that stated that "The West, Gulf Countries, and Turkey" were supporting the opposition where the leading groups were 'Salafists, the Muslim Brotherhood and AQI [Al Qaeda in Iraq]'.

The war in Syria is a proxy war crime. Knowingly pushing propaganda that supports the war - passing it off primarily as a civil war, where Assad is simply murdering innocent civilians - is a crime. 

Stop what you are doing and think. Not all of the people will be fooled all of the time - especially in the modern Internet Age. Eventually a time will come, in the near future, where those that support the mass murders in Syria will be held to account.

Hillary Clinton Received Secret Memo Stating Obama Admin ‘Support’ for ISIS

WASHINGTON, DC — Hillary Clinton received a classified intelligence report stating that the Obama administration was actively supporting Al Qaeda in Iraq, the terrorist group that became the Islamic State.

The memo made clear that Al Qaeda in Iraq was speaking through Muhammad Al Adnani, who is now the senior spokesman for the Islamic State, also known as ISIS. Western and Gulf states were supporting the terrorist group to try to overthrow Syrian dictator Bashar al Assad, who was being propped up by the Russians, Iranians, and Chinese.

In August 2012, a “SECRET” classified memo was sent to various top Obama administration officials and agencies, including to the State Department and to Clinton’s office personally.

“The document is an IAR, an intelligence information report,” said Christopher J. Farrell, who serves on the board of directors of Judicial Watch, which obtained the document. “It is produced by somebody within the Defense intelligence agency (DIA). It is reporting from the field by an intelligence agent” who could be a U.S. government agent, a defense attaché, or a source.

Farrell confirmed that the report was sent to Clinton’s office, based on the recipient marking “RUEHC/SECSTATE WASHINGTON DC.”

The report identifies Al Qaeda in Iraq (AQI) as being one of the principal elements of the Syrian opposition, which the West was choosing to “support.”

THE GENERAL SITUATION:
A. INTERNALLY, EVENTS ARE TAKING A CLEAR SECTARIAN DIRECTION.
B. THE SALAFIST, THE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD, AND AQI ARE THE MAJOR FORCES DRIVING THE INSURGENCY IN SYRIA.
C. THE WEST, GULF COUNTRIES, AND TURKEY SUPPORT THE OPPOSITION; WHILE RUSSIA, CHINA, AND IRAN SUPPORT THE REGIME.

The intelligence report contains an extensive backgrounder on AQI and its methods and capabilities, noting that AQI was speaking through the spokesman of the Islamic State of Iraq Muhammad Al Adnani.

Al Adnani is now the chief spokesman for the current version of the Islamic State, also known as ISIS.

Supporting AQI or ISIS, when US forces are deployed in opposition to these groups, is TREASON.

Background

The neocon war criminals who took the U.S. into an illegal and disastrous war in Iraq are back - and demanding major attacks that will lead inevitably to a Syria War.
We say No!
Attacking Syria won't reduce the violence - it will only escalate it with devastating consequences for Syrians and Americans, as we learned so painfully in Iraq.
The U.S. invasion of Iraq killed 100,000 to 600,000 Iraqi civilians. For Americans, the invasion killed 4,486 U.S. troops and wounded 32,223. Of the 2.3 million U.S. troops who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, roughly 20% suffer from PTSD or Traumatic Brain Injury, and hundreds commit suicide each year. For returning troops and their loved ones, the war is never over.
President Obama may prefer sending a few missiles from a distance, but Republicans like John McCain and Lindsey Graham are demanding much larger attacks - which would easily lead to all-out war with Syria.
Moreover Syria, unlike Iraq, has the support of major military powers like Russia and Iran, which could lead to a much larger war across the entire Middle East.
Economically, the U.S. absolutely cannot afford war with Syria. The Iraq War cost the U.S. economy $3 trillion and helped cause the Great Recession of 2008, which has still not ended.
Since Republicans refuse to raise taxes, the inevitable costs of a Syrian War will come from food stamps, education, health care, environmental protection, and Social Security. The American people adamantly oppose cuts to these essential programs.
These are among the reasons Americans oppose a Syria War.
The U.S. cannot solve Syria's civil war by turning that war into a U.S. war - instead we must increase our efforts to find a diplomatic solution, as was done successfully in Northern Ireland. And when we have solid evidence of the people who ordered any chemical weapons attacks, we should bring them before the International Criminal Court for war crimes.

Petition

Most Americans oppose a Syria War - and I am one of them.
The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq were disastrous, both in human and economic terms. War in Syria could be even worse.
We have no idea who we're fighting for - Al Qaeda?
Moreover we already have a federal budget crisis that is causing devastating cuts to food stamps, Head Start, and other crucial programs. We have absolutely no money for a new Syria War.
A U.S. war is not the solution to Syria's civil war - we need increased diplomacy instead, like the successful effort to end the civil war in Northern Ireland. And whoever ordered chemical attacks should be prosecuted by the International Criminal Court.
As your constituent, I demand that you vote against a Syria War, and block any funds for any military actions that could start such a war.
