And so, many people have no trust in authority today. We can all see the machinations of the corrupt and perhaps the end of this is closer than we think - because the broken nature of the system is so apparent (at least to a growing body of people).
The solutions might be to create smaller local government, make those in office suffer 24/7 transparency, make all business deals transparent, and have direct voting on every issue or change. The local people should be the ones with the voice and not be part of a system where they acquiesce to what those in power push on them.

When Kennedy asked how much it would cost the nation to be carbon neutral by 2050, Turk couldn’t answer despite the senator repeatedly trying to pry a cost amount from him.
At some point, the energy secretary admitted the cost would at least be in the trillions of dollars.
After Kennedy told the Biden administration official some of his colleagues have estimated it could cost $50 trillion for the country to become carbon neutral by 2050, he asked how much that would lower global temperatures.
Turk again failed to provide an estimate regarding how much a carbon-neutral America would reduce temperatures around the world.
After Turk repeatedly danced around the answer, Kennedy cut him off, asking, “You don’t know do you?”
The senator continued, “You just want us to spend $50 trillion, and you don’t have the slightest idea whether it’s going to reduce world temperatures. Now I’m all for carbon neutrality, but you’re the Deputy Secretary of the Department of Energy, and you’re advocating we spend trillions of dollars to seek carbon neutrality and you can’t—and this isn’t your money or my money, this is taxpayer money—and you can’t tell me how much it’s going to lower world temperatures or you won’t tell me? In a separate video being shared on Twitter, Kennedy asked Solar Energy Industries Association President Abigail Hopper why the government has to pay people to drive electric cars if they are “so swell.”
Hopper argued the government incentivizing citizens to buy electric vehicles isn’t “paying them to drive” but Kennedy suggested the tax breaks they get do just that.
This is the type of pushback our elected representatives are supposed to engage in when given the opportunity to question government officials.
As bad as it sounds to say this, let alone do it, is this perhaps a scenario of sacrificing lives to surely save many more in the end? It can't be said to be the case with any certainty, but this much is not up for debate with those being intellectually honest...
Assuming the inherent goodness of our "elite" decision makers. Then it stands to reason, that their goodness and the truth of the climate change causes and severity of the problem would obviously dictate that any solution that could be achieved with a FAR GREATER reward vs risk ratio, would be a no brainer, right?
In other words, if you could all but ensure that the fears of death from the issue itself as well as from the proposed solutions, would be assuaged with very little downside, then there would be no discussion to be had here at all, correct?
