The Case for Propelled Demolition at the Twin Towers

Those of us who have worked closely with Wayne Coste know him to be an exceptionally keen observer of details often overlooked by others. He is probably best known in the movement for his groundbreaking analysis of the evidence at the Pentagon, but he has done equally valuable work on the World Trade Center.
Wayne Coste has proposed a mechanism of destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers that adds nuance to the more general assertion that "high explosives" were used. We know that thermite was used at the World Trade Center in some manner, because we have found unreacted nanothermite residues in the dust. But the forceful lateral ejection of large amounts of material during the collapse has led many to suggest that high explosives must also have been used. (High explosives detonate with speeds much greater than the speed of sound, thereby creating an intense shock wave that can fracture steel.)
Wayne's hypothesis doesn't rule out the use of high explosives entirely, but he has made the observation that what we actually see happening during the demolition can be better understood as the effects of nanothermite "tuned to an intermediate reaction rate." In a preliminary (57-page) paper he has explained this mechanism in detail as he envisions it and has provided a substantial number of observations that support this hypothesis.
The subtitle of Wayne's paper is "The Case for Propelled Demolition." The origin of the term "propelled" derives from the observation that nanothermite can be "tuned" to act, on the one extreme, as an explosive -- almost like a high explosive -- and on the other extreme as a fast acting incendiary, simply generating tremendous heat, without doing mechanical work. But in between, it can be tuned to a moderately fast, but not explosive, reaction rate that makes it useful as a rocket propellant. Wayne makes the case that nanothermite, in this intermediate mode, can explain the observations in the building collapses and in the rubble pile better than the assumption that high explosives were used. The expanding gases on each floor literally ripped the building apart.
This promises to be a very significant presentation.

Bio: Wayne H. Coste, PE:
Wayne Coste is a licensed professional engineer with nearly 50 years of professional experience. He was awarded his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Connecticut in 1977.
For about 6 years, Wayne was actively involved as a volunteer with Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth (AE911Truth). He was a member of the Presenters Team and was the Congressional Outreach team leader. Wayne was a member of the AE911Truth Board of Directors for about a year before leaving Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth to launch Truth Outreach, Inc., which is the not-for-profit organization sponsoring the 9/11 Truth Action Project, or simply 911TAP.
Wayne co-authored a paper with John Wyndham and Michael R. Smith on the ethics, or lack thereof, of the official reports on the WTC buildings in a paper entitled, "Ethics and the Official Reports about the Destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers (WTC1 and WTC2) on 9/11: A Case Study," which was presented at the 2014 IEEE International Symposium on Ethics in Engineering, Science and Technology.
At the 2014 forum on Philosophy, Engineering and Technology (fPET 2014), session on Social Responsibility of Engineers, Wayne and Michael R. Smith presented "Neglecting Peer Review: A Case Study of Engineering Ethics and the Official Reports about the Destruction of World Trade Center Building 7 (WTC7) on 9/11," on May 27 - 29, 2014, at Virginia Tech University, Blacksburg, Virginia.
Additionally, Wayne coauthored the paper, “The World Trade Center Analyses: Case Study of Ethics, Public Policy and the Engineering Profession” with Michael R. Smith, and R. M. Korol in 2015. This paper was accepted by SEFI, the European Engineering Association, after a peer review process and published in the SEFI 2015 conference proceedings. Unfortunately, upon arriving at the conference to present, Wayne's presentation was canceled, and he was refused entry to the conference.
In 2018, Wayne summarized his observations and analysis of the damage at the Pentagon in a comprehensive 5-1/2 hour lecture that culminated in the May 2019, "Conference on the 9/11 Pentagon Evidence" in Denver, CO, hosted by Colorado 9/11 Truth and sponsored by Scientists for 9/11 Truth, the International Center for 9/11 Studies, the Northern California 9/11 Truth Alliance, 911Truth.org, and Michael Wolsey of visibility911.org.
In 2020, Wayne developed his most recent analyses of the destruction of the Twin Towers in a pair of papers, "Investigating the Mechanics of Destruction at the Twin Towers on 9/11: The Case for Propelled Demolition" and "Perimeter Columns of the South Tower: Surfing the Big Wave."
