Slight Correction:

Max Cleland didn’t resign specifically due to objections over Zelikow, although from looking at press reports, he wasn’t happy about it. When asked about Zelikow by Amy Goodman, Cleland stated it was “not the staff directors fault, it is the White House’s fault, it’s president Bush’s fault.” Seeing as how Zelikow had “deep, lasting ties to several members of both the Bush I and Bush II Administrations,” what is the difference really? Regardless, he did call the investigation a “white wash.”

The explosive power of nano-thermite was also unintentionally misrepresented. It should be noted this was before the nano-thermite paper. All we can say is that nano-thermite mixed in a specialized organic matrix has the theoretical potential to be a high explosive, according to official reports from those who first developed these materials, although they have not shown an actual example in public reports. Known explosive nano-thermite examples from publicly available reports are low explosive. And as Harrit et al say in their paper on the red/gray nano-thermite chips found in the WTC dust, this type of material can be tailored as an incendiary or explosive material, but they do not know in which category those chips belong.

The explosive nature of nanothermite
