Paranormal Sasquatch Evidence Often Attacked with Strawmen
For instance, reports of Sasquatch being sighted near UFOs shouldn't jump into strawman territory by talking about them purportedly hopping out of a flying saucer driver seat.
Although Chewbacca was discriminated against for looking beastly when in fact was very smart. 😁
Such leaps are made at times from researchers that should know better. Extreme minority theories, some of which are only passed on via personal anecdote but have no online sources offered up or easily found by me are also presented at times.
So, in short, Stop It! 🛑
You know who you are and I respect you all and agree that carefully conducted field work should be priority number one.
I will share just a few more things about the biological creature vs paranormal issue, though, which first is that it isnt mutually exclusive. There is a lot of room for nuance, including supernatural abilities of a biological creature.
But those abilities might just be paranormal in the basic meaning of the word, as in just not occurring often, but not spiritual. (Games of semantics has entered the chat.) Plenty of creatures can cloak for instance. Or indeed it could be a biblical Nephilim as some contend with at least theological arguments juxtapositioned over Bigfoot evidence. Or how's this for an original thought?... Perhaps it's the ghost of Gigantopithecus! Again, could be argued when Sasquatch evidence is paired with ghost evidence. Etc., Etc., you get my point. I don't oversimplify.
I do think outside of the box, though, but I don't put straw in it or pretend it's a popular box when it's not. I don't even put all my marbles in one basket, so I reserve a few for the basket labeled "does not exist!" Gasp!
As a real skeptic who stands in strong opposition to pseudoskepticism, I must give full disclosure on my bias here. While playing Bigfoot calls through a speaker in the woods, I saw a green fireball about the size of a tennis ball appear out of nowhere quickly above me. It was maybe a hundred feet up, and when it fell, it left a trail then fizzled out.
