First and foremost the 9/11 Commission was extremely underfunded in comparison to similar investigations. Finding out if Bill Clinton lied about infidelity cost nearly three times as much. If 9/11 is such a defining event as to separate our world into -pre and post-9/11, then the underfunding alone is reason enough for another investigation. Some may argue that the subsequent investigations into the collapses of the twin towers, and WTC building number seven, such as the preeminent ones conducted by NIST, should be figured into the equation, however this is only one portion of the events that are still being called into question. As far as a comprehensive investigation is concerned, the 9/11 Commission is all that we have been offered. Furthermore, as David Ray Griffin points out in his book, Debunking 9/11 Debunking, NIST is an agency of the US Commerce and all of its directors are Bush appointees.
Some may argue that there must also be concrete evidence of flaws in the Commission. A major flaw that no honest person can deny is that the Executive Staff Director of the Commission Philip Zelikow was the epitome of a conflict of interest. In the words of 911truth.org:
"Philip Zelikow has deep, lasting ties to several members of both the Bush I and Bush II Administrations. Any one of these connections could have been deemed sufficient to eliminate Zelikow from consideration on the basis of non-independence."
He was asked publicly to resign by the 9/11 Family Steering Committee. One of the first Commission members, Max Cleland, even resigned and called the investigation a "white wash." These are all indisputable facts. An underfunded, compromised commission of which many of those most affected (the families) are not pleased is reason enough to stop belittling people and support a new investigation. But don't take my word for it, listen to some of their dissatisfaction in their own words.
And this is not just a small group of family members. Bill Doyle, who lost his son on 9/11, is the founder of an email communication network for 9/11 families with over 7000 members, he estimates that half of the family members believe 9/11 was an inside job.
Many public figures and family members have also released a 9/11 truth statement calling for a new investigation.

The fact that 9/11 family member Patty Casazza stated that whistle blowers told her that before 9/11 the government knew the exact day, the type of attack, and the targets is again reason enough alone for another investigation, surely no "debunkers" will claim that she is lying, or that there is any reason she is being lied to about such a matter.
There are also literally 1000's of highly credentialed people that are calling for a new investigation. "Debunkers" present counter arguments to their assertions, but this does not make them cease to exist. The mere fact that so many individuals with advanced research skills are questioning the official story in and of itself adds great weight to everything else already presented here. It is easily demonstrated that the money should not be an issue, so why not address these people's concerns, and conduct an investigation that the majority of the 9/11 family members would feel is adequate. If we can give $850 billion to Wall Street surely we can spend $30 million more measly dollars or so on 9/11!
Debunking the 9/11 truth movement and dismissing people as conspiracy theorists is a slap in the face to many 9/11 family members, and it is just plain wrong.
